GLD go for gold on Strictly TV Show

GLD’s chairs had a starring role in this year’s Strictly Come Dancing TV show. The event furniture suppliers provided 500 chairs for the judges and audience on the latest series of the hit BBC TV show. The gold banqueting chairs provided the best seats in the house as the judges and audience watched the sequined celebrities battle it out on the dance floor over 12 weeks in the popular shows seventh series. GLD also supplied the red leather sofas for the performers’ interview and waiting area.

The supply of the audience chairs and sofas mark a growth in our working relationship with the Strictly Come Dancing brand. We have provided backstage furniture for the performers and production on the Strictly Come Dancing tour the past two years. This project included the sourcing and subsequent laying of 900 square metres of professional dance floor at every venue on the UK tour, a feat GLD took in their stride despite being a departure from their normal repertoire of hospitality, backstage and party furniture.
The new SCD live tour begins in January 2010.
