It is a full fashion house as GLD furnish London Fashion Week

It was mirrors, mirrors everywhere as GLD Productions supplied furniture for the designer shows at the most recent London Fashion Week held last month. As the great and the good of the fashion world swarmed the capital for London Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2010, GLD provided hundreds of make-up mirrors and wardrobe furniture for the backstage environments of a large number of high profile fashion events across the week.

With the bi-annual fashion extravaganza celebrating its 25th anniversary, this autumn’s event has been one of the largest and most spectacular. GLD supplied furniture for catwalk shows and presentations for leading designers including Burberry Prorsum, Pringle of Scotland, Julien Macdonald, Luella, Topshop, Vertya, Erdem, Sass & Bide, Roksanda Ilincic, Berardi and Peter Pilotto. GLD also supplied furniture for the LFW Exhibition of S/S Designer Collections at Somerset House and the British Fashion Council’s catwalk shows.

Carrying out the job meant a tight operational schedule as GLD coordinated deliveries for several jobs in different London venues every day over a week long period. At the height of the fashion week shows on Monday 21st September, GLD had over 200 make-up and cheval mirrors, as well as a large number of chairs, trestle tables, dress rails and steamers out at events.

This September’s outing of LFW marks GLD’s continued association with the London fashion event and the major fashion production companies who produce the shows for the designers.

GLD also supply wardrobe items and event furniture to fashion shoots, fashion awards, charity fashion shows and other fashion related events.
