Bonanza Bank Holiday means there is no rest for GLD

This year’s August Bank Holiday saw GLD step up to the mark proving their ability to deliver no matter how busy their schedule. Crew and trucks full of furniture were sent out to fit hospitality and backstage environments, not to mention pamper rooms and dance floors, from as far as Leeds to The Mall in London.

We were responsible for supplying over 225 sofas plus the accompanying dressing and hospitality room furniture for events over the long weekend including the annual Reading and Leeds festivals. At the Creamfields festival, we had to create a unique pamper room area onsite along with the backstage areas.

Events across the Capital also kept GLD busy, with the dressing of George Michael’s backstage and hospitality areas at Earl’s Court for his last ever concerts, The Olympic handover at The Mall and jobs in Hyde Park, Wembley Stadium, South Kensington and REM in Twickenham. We also managed to make a run to Cardiff to deliver a dance floor to Madonna for her practice sessions whilst on her Sticky and Sweet tour.
