GLD supplied furniture and wardrobe items for the backstage areas for an array of designer shows at London Fashion Week this autumn.
Working for key production companies, GLD provided furniture for the top catwalk shows at the September outing of Britain’s premier fashion designers, supplying to venues as diverse as the V&A, Royal Horticultural Halls, Claridges, St James, the Vinyl Factory and the Westway Sports Centre for as equally diverse and unique designers.
The nature of the proceedings demanded tight schedules and co-ordination to ensure all parties were kitted out with wardrobe items and furniture for the backstage elements of the collections across the week long event.
The fashion festivities opened with the launch of the appropriately starry Golden Age of Couture at the V&A. Stella McCartney made her LFW debut with Adidas at the Westway Sports Centre and Luella Bartley made her comeback show at Claridges. The Fashion for Relief event at the Natural History Museum saw Naomi Campbell host a special one-off charity catwalk show to raise funds for the Rotary’s Flood & Disaster Appeal.
