GLD swapped their usual roster of pop stars for royal stars at two prestigious events. Dubbed as the ‘Children’s Party at the Palace’, a special garden party took place at Buckingham Palace as part of the Queen’s 80th birthday celebrations in June 2006. The garden tea party was attended by 2,000 youngster and classic children’s characters. GLD also worked on another birthday party in May - the Prince’s Trust 30th Birthday Concert. The star-studded event to mark 30 years of the Prince’s Trust took place in the grounds of the Tower of London. GLD created the backstage and production areas for both events.
