Held on 7th July 2007 over 7 continents, the Live Earth concerts were staged to bring awareness to the climate crisis. Led by former Vice President Al Gore, the multi-media event reached a global audience of 2 billion.
The Wembley Stadium concert which saw an all-star line-up including Madonna, Foo Fighters, Genesis and Red Hot Chilli Peppers used state-of-the-art technology to create a climate neutral experience.
GLD, working closely with Live brand experience agency, Ignition, produced five hospitality areas for VIP and sponsor guests creating special installations and messaging to illustrate the environmental pledges to change and conserve energy for the preservation of the planet.
GLD also created the backstage area catering for the superstar line-up and entourages and supplied elements for the press areas, green rooms and production site.
