In 2002/3 GLD were involved in two high profile Harry Potter events.

The first was part of Coca Cola & Warner Brothers competition. 500 prizewinners where flown over to the UK to view different venues around the country that were connected with the Harry Potter films. GLD were responsible for designing and building stage sets from the film at each hotel the winners stayed at and for creating the hospitality and themed entertainment at each venue they visited.

June 2003 saw the launch of ‘Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix’, which was the fifth book in the popular series. The event staged by Bloomsbury Publishing focused around a live interview of JK Rowling conducted by Stephen Fry. This took place in front of an audience of 5,000 children and was webcast to audiences across the world. GLD were responsible for the stage design, build and all the pre-show entertainment in association with Endemol and Clear Channel.
